Hello! My name is Jason Hartt and welcome to Eat Your Hartt out, a page dedicated to approachable-mouth watering recipes that will make you want to get in the kitchen and cook for your family! I am just your everyday dad of two crazy boys that loves to get down in the kitchen. I have a full time job, coach my son’s baseball team and still get home in time (most nights) to make dinner. Basically, I’m just like you and I’m here to share how I transition my love of food into balanced, practical and delicious meals for my family.
I have loved food and creating new recipes for as long as I can remember. Growing up, I was always the guy on the grill at social events cooking for my friends and family.
Fast forward 10 years later, and I am now married to my high-school sweet heart and we have two beautiful and wild boys that I like to spend every minute possible with. My love of food has evolved from backyard grilling to hosting events, meal planning and most importantly feeding my family healthy and nutritious meals.
I am a total foodie and love to play with flavors and cooking techniques and even like to try to substitute healthy ingredients into recipes as much as possible. I also love to take classic dishes and throw my own twist on it, or completely indulge in some of my very favorites– life is all about balance after all!
I have created this website to share my recipes in hopes of reminding parents of all ages how easy it can be to create a wholesome meal for your family. I want to create a community where easy meals and techniques can be shared and parents empower one another to get into the kitchen one way or another! It doesn’t take a ton of ingredients, time or money. Just a little planning and some learned technique and you too can be in the kitchen or on the grill cooking up some amazing meals.
